Senior Professional Services Consultant

Location: New York Area

Job Description

Leading device identification, malware detection and fraud prevention startup is looking for a highly capable and versatile Professional Services Consultant to join our Services organization. The scope of this role includes functional and technical engagement from presales handover through to business as usual.  Responsibilities include POC/pilot management and production setup.  The role requires analytical, technical and project management skills.  The candidate will be involved in evaluating and presenting results during initial setup or pilot periods, and demonstrating product value.  An understanding of data analytics is required, in order to propose and explain optimizations of default rulesets.  The candidate will be required to explain how to integrate our SaaS platform into customer’s web workflow and websites.  Due to the startup nature of the company, the candidate should also be comfortable with assisting the customer on an on-going basis from a general support perspective during peak support periods or cover for primary support staff during vacation periods.

Knowledge of online fraud or data analytics experience is desirable.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years previous consulting experience, ideally with some further pre-sales or customer support experience
  • Proven track record of successful customer project implementations – especially SaaS
  • Great customer facing skills (in person, but also by email and over the phone)
  • Articulate communicator. Must have excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Familiarity with analysis of large datasets – identifying trends and generating statistics
  • Excellent analysis, troubleshooting and debugging skills, in particular with web workflow and websites
  • Experience with online fraud is highly desirable
  • Ability to articulate the value proposition and help quantify return on investment
  • Able to self-manage workload and handle rapidly changing priorities and sometimes demanding and complex issues effectively.  Project Management skills.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, SQL.  Other technologies a bonus.
  • Capable of working within a global services organization.  Must work constructively and efficiently with other parts of the organizations, across different time zones.

Additional skills and experience considered a bonus

  • Understanding of general security principles
  • Foreign languages

Education background

  • Bachelor of arts/ bachelor of science, equivalent or relevant industry experience, especially in mathematics or physics
  • Analytical background preferred
