Digital Identity Podcast: Listen to the Digital Identity 360 Series

If you’re like me, you are one of the estimated 67 million people who have listened to a podcast in the past month. No matter your interest, there seems to be a podcast out there for everyone – a sports podcast or a business podcast or even an identity podcast.
And, just like other social media activity, listening to podcasts is quickly becoming a routine part of daily life, with the number of active podcast listeners expected to triple over the next three years.
Engaging audiences through social media is a strategy we have embraced, not only with this blog, but also through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and more. The reason is quite simple. Today’s digital citizens embrace context and conversation, not canned product messaging.
Context helps people understand not just a product, but the business and the issues around it. It helps your businesses make a connection with the audience in a way that broadcast advertising cannot.
Podcasts are the “grab and go” version of context and conversation. You can watch or listen at your desk or download the series to take it with you. However you choose, you consume what you want when you want it.
And that’s why we recently launched a digital identity podcast series titled Digital Identity 360.
Hosting a podcast is a perfect complement to our current social media efforts, as 48 percent of monthly podcast consumers follow companies on social media, compared to just 31 percent of the full U.S. population. Podcast listeners engage more with companies on social sites, such Facebook and Twitter, than the average American.
Our digital identity podcast is a bi-weekly series that will feature unscripted conversations with executives and industry experts, discussing all aspects of digital identity and other key topics that affect the digital economy.
It is designed to provide listeners with what I like to call “snackable” content, as it only takes a few minutes to watch or listen to one of these episodes. The conversational format also allows us to delve deep into a topic in a short timeframe, promotes richer discussions, and shows you a more personal side of the guests than you would see in another setting.
I like to view this podcast series as providing the audience with a “secret pass” to listen in on conversations that you might not otherwise be privy to.
