New Smart Analytics offering pairs machine learning with behavioral analytics for industry’s most complete digital identity solution
ThreatMetrix®, The Digital Identity Company™, announces the availability of its Spring ‘16 Release. This most recent product update introduces deeper decision analytics, an enhancement to mobile offerings and stronger authentication capabilities to serve more than 4,000 customers around the globe.

Highlights of the Spring ‘16 Release include:
Smart Analytics introduces the Smart Rules behavioral analytics algorithms along with a transparent approach to machine learning called Smart Learning. Smart Rules offers a customizable toolset, allowing customers to more accurately detect and analyze changes in user behavior. This capability helps to more accurately identify fraudsters without adding friction for good consumers. Unlike traditional black-box approaches for big data analytics, Smart Learning offers a “clear-box” approach to machine learning, made possible by combining Global Shared Intelligence with customer data.
“Behavioral analytics tools provide an extremely powerful way of detecting and analyzing changes in user behavior, while machine learning produces an effective predictive model based on past transactional and behavioral data,” Faulkner said. “Both of these components offer unique and complementary value that is made even more powerful when paired together.”
The new SDK for Apple OS X and Microsoft Windows provides a faster way to activate endpoint applications across the business. The SDK profiles devices for specific platform-based applications, providing advanced risk analysis, fraud detection and device recognition.
The new two-factor authentication feature combines secondary authentication with dynamic information from the ThreatMetrix Digital Identity Network to reduce instances of step-up authentication, further reducing cost to the customer and removing friction from the consumer experience.
The new identity verification feature combines static identity checks with dynamic information from the ThreatMetrix Digital Identity Network in order to more accurately verify a user’s true identity. This feature provides a quick, cost-effective first step in verifying identity.
