Scott Brings More Than 30 Years of Engineering Experience to Senior Management Role
LOS ALTOS, CA – April 6, 2011 – ThreatMetrix™, the fastest growing provider of fraud prevention solutions that do not require personally identifiable information (PII), today announced the appointment of Bruce Scott as vice president of worldwide engineering. Scott joins ThreatMetrix with extensive background in computer engineering spanning more than 30 years.
In his new position, Scott will oversee the core engineering, application engineering and QA groups to provide a well-managed and transparent flow of product requirements through to product delivery. He will also drive the development of a new engineering process and platform to assure quality and predictable delivery.

Scott has widespread experience in building mission critical high performance systems software and enterprise applications. He has held senior-level positions at ParAccel and SenSage, and founded PointBase Inc. where he generated $37.5 million in venture funding over three years. Other accomplishments include Scott’s involvement as a member of the initial design team at Oracle, and his work developing the industry leading PC database, SQLBase, as co-founder and chief architect for Gupta. He earned a bachelor’s of science degree in computer science from California Polytechnic State University.
