Report Highlights Interesting, New and Innovative Vendors, Products and Services
San Jose, CA – May 16, 2012 – ThreatMetrix™, the fastest-growing provider of integrated cybercrime prevention solutions, announced today that it has been profiled in the “Cool Vendors in Context-Aware Computing, 2012” report by Gartner, Inc.
Vendors in the annual report are considered “Context-Aware” because “they deliver the right information to the right people at the right time, enable cost-effective and scalable sensor-to-sensor communications, and bring intelligence to security and access control systems.”
ThreatMetrix was initially named a “Cool Vendor” in the 2011 report and is featured in the 2012 report in the “Where Are They Now” section. ThreatMetrix more than doubled its revenue base over 2010 by year end 2011.
“Since ThreatMetrix was included in last year’s report, we have continued to grow as a company and reinforce our reputation as a leading provider of integrated cybercrime prevention solutions,” said Reed Taussig, president and CEO, ThreatMetrix. “Not only has our revenue doubled, but our customer base has also grown from 400 to 650 customers in the past year.”
Following its recognition in the 2011 “Cool Vendor” report, ThreatMetrix has since enabled device identification technology for mobile platforms with TrustDefender™ Mobile. In January 2012, ThreatMetrix also acquired the malware detection and prevention company TrustDefender. The acquisition allows ThreatMetrix to address fraud prevention and malware protection as a single problem and deliver real benefits to customers at a lower cost.
“Malware protection and fraud prevention are closely tied, but before our acquisition of TrustDefender, no integrated solutions were available on the market,” said Taussig. “ThreatMetrix is now the first company to combine advanced device identification and malware detection in a single platform backed by a global network of shared intelligence.”
